Meet The Creators – DeadBoysInc.
Tell us a little bit about yourself, and your background before getting into NFTs.
I’ve always been into art work and creative arts in general. Having been involved with crypto for a short period of time, I could see the potential in starting my own collection. Having worked in construction for a long time, and wanted to put my skills as an artist to better use, I devised a plan to start what would become the DeadBoys universe.
How were you introduced to NFT’s?
I found proton through investing in XPR last year and became aware of proton NFTs through twitter and watching other collections have success.
Why did you choose Proton Blockchain to host your collection?
I decided to go with proton because I could see the potential in both the chain and how early it is for the chain/NFTs. A lot of potential and I wanted to be at the forefront of this.
Tell us about your collection and the inspiration.
DeadBoysInc. are a collection of dark and ghostly lads that have ended up in purgatory following their untimely demise. The animated series will following the male lead – Mack – as he navigates his way through purgatory with his new friend The Wise Wizardo. Along the way we meet all the DeadBoys! The NFT collections consists of 150 Original DeadBoys and 800 Gravedigger DeadBoys. Beyond that, there are 1000 GhostKongs and 500 BadGirls (from the BadGirlsInc collection). All of whom reside in the DeadBoy universe. The NFTs are all 1-1 unique hand drawn and exclusive to the Proton blockchain – the home of NFTs!
What benefits do your NFT holders have? (Passive Income, DAO, Airdrops)
We have a DAO and a DAO fund that is managed by a treasurer but all decisions around changes made are community based. 20% off all sales go into the DAO fund each month and are paid to all DAO members. Entry to the DAO is 8 ‘DBP’ or ‘DeadBoyPoints.’ Points are rewarded based on the rarity of the NFT (standard 1 DPB, rare 2 DBP, special 3 DBP). We also have more collections due to be released that form part of the DeadBoy universe. There is an animated series planned and merch – both of which a percentage of income will be paid to the DAO fund. We also have an upcoming website launch with a members exclusive area. So lots of incentives for new holders and plenty planned to reward existing holders in the future!
What’s next for your project?
GhostKongs are planned for the end of May. This will be released by launchpad with the first 500 launched in May and a further 500 launched at the end of the year. The first of the collection will be auctioned in our TG! After that, we are currently planning a launch of a DeadBoyCoin, staking system, and a metaverse-style property development system. These are in the very early stages but we are excited to bring more to the Proton community!
