Meet The Creators – Cypher Gang
Tell us a little bit about yourself, and your background before getting into NFTs.
Hey! I am 0xCypherpunk or (ProtonPunk), I can say that I have been living the life of a digital nomad since 2007. I am originally from Europe, but in 2007 I moved to live in China, then I was 20 years old. Since then, my journey began, and from time to time I moved from place to place. Now I am already a proud father of two children, but this does not prevent us from moving around, probably soon we will start speaking 4 languages.
Currently my family and I are back in Europe, but I have strong suspicions that soon we will take off again and rush somewhere, maybe this time it will be Latin America.
How were you introduced to NFT’s?
I first fell down the rabbit hole in 2014 and have since coexisted with the crypto world as an anonymous digital nomad.
Why did you choose Proton Blockchain to host your collection?
And in April/May 2021, I met someone who brought me to Proton. And I started accumulating $XPR as best I could.
At that time, the NFT market did not yet exist, it was in the development stage. At first I did not attach much importance to this.
But after the launch, Pixel Heroes came along and inspired me to start creating my own NFTs on Proton too because of its best features in the crypto space like instant and gasless transactions. What could be better for NFTs? And so, I made a couple of punks for fun, and to my surprise, they immediately resonated with the audience.
Since then, the world of NFT on Proton has boiled up, many talented artists have appeared, I will not list everyone by name, so as not to offend anyone, whom I forgot to name, everyone knows that I appreciate each and everyone in the community. I have never met such a nice and friendly community in the crypto world until I met Proton.
Tell us about your collection and the inspiration.
My collection called Cypher Gang is like a club of like-minded people united by the idea of a great future for the world of cryptocurrencies. Each owner is a unique member of the club and we welcome everyone to join our community!
Cypher Gang is an Original Hand-Crafted collection of 1777 Cypher Gang NFTs – unique digital collectables with various utilities, activities, passive income and governance systems for the holders.
Our collection features unique characters such as humans, skeletons, zombies, robots, apes and many more!
All NFTs are made by hand in the form of avatars in pixel art.
The entire collection of 1777 NFTs is divided into phases of 7 parts, 250 NFTs in each phase. Price floor increases with each new phase. So early investors have an advantage!
We are not just a community of NFT collectors, we are the Cypher family, where the community plays a huge role in the development of the project through the syndicate governance system.
What benefits do your NFT holders have? (Passive Income, DAO, Airdrops)
Each phase activates certain functions inside the collection within our roadmap shown on our website http://www.CypherGang.com
For example, such as a Cypher Syndicate Fund with the passive income system, Cypher Governance System where each member of the gang can influence the development of the project, Merch – to become a member of the club not only in the virtual world but also in the real world wearing our clothes, and much more.
We are also running Cypher NFT giveaways for Cypher holders and we are currently playing TG games where each participant can win $XPR prizes!
The final stage in the roadmap, at the moment, we see the development of our P2E game on Proton, where each holder can not only be a member of the gang, but also play our game and receive income from it!
What’s next for your project?
As I mentioned above, our main goal at the moment is to develop a P2E game for our collection, but we keep up with the times and follow the trends, so we will look for different ways to further develop our project. Therefore, our collection has a governance system where our community members can influence the development!
